We celebrate our Shortlist Sensation Victoria Smith for Tourism Young Person of the Year!
From Victoria’s first introduction to the company by way of C.V; her effervescent personality and desire to get involved with Shiverpool bounced off the page. It was clear that although young in age, through her previous roles working in the hospitality sector and her studies at LJMU drama school, Victoria had already begun to develop a keen grasp on the importance placed on customer facing skills, presentation, team work and responsibility – Over the three years with us Victoria has continued to develop those skills further; her energy, loyalty, consistency, kindness and Love for the city, makes Victoria our standout candidate and a worthy recipient of Tourism’s Young Person of the Year Award!
Victoria’s attention to detail and her willingness to ‘go above and beyond’ has always shone through. Her Love of Liverpool flows through her personality and she’s always willing to stop and assist members of the public who may require help locating a restaurant or directions to their hotel. Victoria wears her Shiverpool coat with pride and often spends time recommending and celebrating other venues and attractions before/after her tour officially begins/ends.
We hope our recognition & trust in Victoria’s commitment and approach to her role is partly evidenced by the many hard won high value clients to which she is scheduled to deliver her shows. Victoria was also selected to participate in professional photoshoots, the images of which are used to represent the brand in forums all over the world.
Learning to think on your feet, adapt to the environment of the city streets is an essential part of the role- Victoria is required to be creative and use initiative every time she steps out to perform Live shows.
Her fierce pride in the city, her willingness to promote other local businesses, landmarks and attractions, combined with the long term commitment to her role, displays her clear aptitude and ambition to develop a potential career in the creative tourism sector.
Victoria Smith has worked with us now for nearly three years and has become a valued asset to the company and a much loved friend and member of the Shiverpool team.
