The Auld City & Dead House Tour will run from 26th June in line with Gov guidance
The Seven Original Streets
Tales of hulking castles and dank airless dungeons, marble facades and sanctuary stones. Behold the lofty banking halls and chilling corridors of power, the regal opulence of the Town Hall and the crooked lamp lit alley-ways.
Witness our city’s darkest and less well known hidden avenues in the now bustling commercial district…
Ending the immersive tour experience in the oldest morgue in the city, nestled quietly within a medieval garden, hidden beneath the Gothic spire of a floating chapel, entered through a trapdoor- named by Herman Melville himself… ‘The Liverpool Dead House’.
Explore the original seven streets of Liverpool and its ghostly past.
Journey beneath the streets, exclusive to Shiverpool– into a former city morgue visited by Herman Melville himself The Dead House.
Listen to the tales of slavery, plague, cholera and the filthy slums that so many poor souls found to be their final resting place.
See for yourself the stunning architecture and secret streets of Liverpool’s Commercial District.
