LWOW

We are pleased to announce Shiverpool’s Without Walls street theatre activities

We have 13 ‘Hope Street Shivers’ Tour Experiences up for grabs to organisations and groups in Merseyside at no cost to participants.

The Tour Experiences will last approximately 90mins long and can take place any date or time subject to availability.

The tours are an exciting blend of physical-storytelling including History, Heritage-Tales and Folklore taking in Liverpool’s most impressive and glorious city surroundings delivered by a group of award-winning guides.

We will be working with professional and experienced artists to deliver the programme providing excellent quality and a safe and supportive environment for all to enjoy at their own pace, including members of family, support groups or carers.

The Hope Street Shivers takes in the Cathedral Quarter of Hope Street- Beginning outside The Philharmonic Pub; includes both Cathedrals, Rodney Street (and the infamous story of Liverpool’s most infamous undead resident) and The Irish Centre. The journey ends beneath the Gothic Majesty of Liverpool’s Anglican in St James’ cemetery where something sinister lurks…

What We Do:

Shiverpool is a multi award winning storytelling street theatre tour company that activates the city centre’s most historical and stunning buildings and locations with weird and wonderful tales of history mystery and more. Our experiences delight and entertain all the family, schools, youth groups visitors to the city and Liverpool audiences. We work with the region’s emerging artists and storytellers to deliver our shows that have been recognised nationally for their excellence.

Our street performances are an important part of the city’s creative ecology and advocating local independent businesses on our tours is an important part of what we do.

After the Tour:

We will provide the gift of a specially printed hand drawn illustrated Shiverpool City Ghost Map, a memento of the event and to encourage further exploration of the city of Liverpool, to seek out new adventure and discover Liverpool’s Haunted Heritage.

We are able to deliver our activities Covid secure with a full and robust health and safety assessment- taking the latest government guidelines into consideration.

This activity is supported by Culture Liverpool & Arts Council England as part of the Without Walls Project.
