It was Robert Cain who commissioned the Phil to be built and was designed by the famous British architect, Walter Thomas, in 1898. It is a grade 2 listed building and is highly regarded as one of the best pubs in Britain.

"...He witnessed a white haired, wailing old woman in the alley way around the side of the pub. He added that he felt extremely uncomfortable by this woman and quickly left to catch up with his friends..."

The Everyman was founded here in 1964, then called Hope Hall. In an area of Liverpool noted for its bohemian environment and political edge, the Everyman quickly built a reputation for ground breaking work and many great British talents considered The Everyman their home in formative years

Shadows and ghostly footsteps can be heard late at night as is normal for paranormal behaviour, however, the ghost of The Everyman leaves behind a personal legacy.

This is Liverpool’s Catholic Cathedral.
It was designed by a Sir Frederick Gibberd (1908/1984) and building work was completed in 1967. It’s more modern design stands in great contrast to the Anglican Cathedral’s Gothic architecture .

"... He ascended the icy steps and taking out a small photo of his late fiancé he climbed onto the boundary wall and prepared to jump. As he closed his eyes, the young man claimed that he heard a voice behind him shouting: ‘Stop!'...

St Andrew's Scottish Presbyterian opened for service on dec 3rd 1824. The church is now a listed building and is currently being restored.

The solid looking apparition of a top hatted man has been seen in this area many times. It is thought that the spirit is that of Will Mackenziea Scot, from a little place called Newbie in Dumfries-shire.

He was a compulsive gambler and it is said that he flung his family bible in the fire after his girlfriend died of fever. They say he hated God because of her death and became an atheist... the fool bet his soul to the devil '

The original Philharmonic Hall opened its doors in 1849. It was designed by architect, John Cunningham and was financed by the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Society.

One the eve 5/07/1933 a fire swept through the whole building destroying it completely. Renowned Liverpool architect, Herbert J Rowse, was commissioned to design the current Art Deco building we see before us.

"...Early hours one morning as one of the guards was patrolling his rounds he stated that he heard a scraping noise in front of him. As he rushed his torch to the spot where the noise had come from, the light fell on a chair moving across the floor towards him. As the chair got closer it slowed down and then stopped..."

The Anglican is Liverpool’s protestant cathedral. The cathedral abounds in superlatives: it is the largest cathedral in Britain and the fifth largest in the world! The height of the tower reaches 331 feet; it has the highest Gothic arches and the heaviest ringing of bells in the world.

"...The jogger stared in horror, frozen to the spot, as the limping apparition approached. The African man thought he detected a slight grin spreading over the ghoul’s lips."
